Following the successes of 4 historic pre-seed funding vehicles that focused on supporting student entrepreneurs, BeAngels announces the imminent launch of Elev8te, an initiative aimed at encouraging the entrepreneurial aspirations of students and youth companies linked to incubators close to universities and the academic world.
Levita, Trust Up, Flowchase – What do these names, which echo great entrepreneurial stories, have in common? Each of these companies was able to develop from its beginnings in particular thanks to the pre-seed financing of previous investment vehicles set up by BeAngels.
With 7 years of commitment and support for more than 25 startups, Elev8te positions itself as a Belgian financing vehicle with a cross-border vision. While maintaining its roots firmly anchored in Belgium, Elev8te is extending its reach for the first time to Luxembourg and the north of France to provide essential financial support to projects within incubators closely linked to universities and academic ecosystems of this extended region.
The incorporation of Elev8te into the BeAngels ecosystem creates a remarkable synergy, which paves the way for start-ups to fully exploit the Startup Pack, a collection of benefits from BeAngels partners while giving them privileged access to financing and refinancing networks via BeAngels.
Elev8te builds strong partnerships with 8 renowned incubators, leveraging their expertise and networks to find exceptional startups. These partners include HEC Liège VentureLab, Startlab ICHEC, StartLab Brussels, Yncubator de Louvain La Neuve (UCL), Student Lab de Charleroi Entreprendre, Value Network (KUL), Campus Fund (FR) and the University of Luxembourg (UNI), all ready to identify and support the next generation of visionary entrepreneurs.
The key performance indicators (KPIs) of the last 7 years highlight the effectiveness of financing mechanisms:
- 25 companies financed since 2016 through four distinct financing vehicles.
- More than 76 full-time equivalents (FTEs) were created in more than 10 diverse sectors of activity.
