Following the success of four historic financing vehicles focused on pre-seed and especially on helping student entrepreneurs get started, our new tool Elev8te will be launched very soon.
What's the point between Levita, Trust Up, Momly or Flowchase? We have received many benefits from financing advances on mortgage interest from one of the precedent funds for advances.
Based on 7 years of strong experience and with more than 25 funded startups, Elev8te is a Belgian financing vehicle with a cross-border approach covering the geographical areas of Belgium and expanding for the first time to Luxembourg and Northern France. It aims to finance projects developing in incubators directly linked to universities and academic environments in the defined region.
Elev8te works closely directly with 8 incubators and involves the deal flow of our experienced partners. We aim to build strong relationships with the BeAngels community of private investors to formally give an unfair advantage in the development of the funded startups. More specifically, we will source projects in collaboration with: Venture Lab, StartLab Solvay, StartLab ICHEC, Campus Fund and KUL Value Network
Some KPIs regarding the performance of our financing vehicles over the past 7 years:
- 25 companies financed since 2016 through 4 financing instruments
- +76 FTEs created in +10 different business sectors
- 35% of the portfolio is active on the Flemish market
Especially since the COVID era, business angel financing is increasingly the only source of (re)financing for start-ups. The post-Covid era and the war in Ukraine had two important consequences for our market. Many VCs have moved to later investment stages, drying up the supply of capital for promising startups in the pre-seed and seed stages. This represents an opportunity for Elev8te to leverage this untapped potential.
