Since its creation in 1805 in Brussels, D'Ieteren bears the name of a family of entrepreneurs and has evolved into the entity known today as D'Ieteren Group. The family shareholding represents 60% of the capital.

The group's mission is to build a family of companies that reinvent their industry, in search of excellence and significant impact.

D'Ieteren Automotive is the official distributor of Volkswagen brands in Belgium. The company distributes Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Škoda, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti and Porsche vehicles, as well as spare parts and accessories.

Trained in marketing and with an MBA degree from Solvay in hand, Denis Gorteman became successively General Manager of D'Ieteren Lease, Strategy Operations manager of Belron and then CEO of D'Ieteren Automotive where he oriented the company towards "Moving People Forward.
