Philippe Biltiau

After studying at Solvay Business School (ULB), Philippe trained for 7 years in major companies such as Unilever, JWT or RTL.

With his experience, he launched a series of communication agencies in 1982 : Karamba, Promo Sapiens and Kadratur. He will later on sell them in 2000 to the group Interpublic, which has about 200 employees.

Already a part-time professor for many years, in 2001, he accepted the position of ‘President of the Solvay School of Commerce’, which he transformed into Solvay Business School. Following this transformation, the university was ranked in FT and Equis for the first time.

During 6 years of presidency (2001-2007), he launched a fundraising campaign and raised 23 million euros to finance 5 chairs in perpetuity as well as the new Solvay building (avenue Franklin Roosevelt in Brussels).

He is currently the creator and director of adult education programs at Solvay, such as the Management and Philosophy Program, the Executive Master in Digital Marketing and Communication Program, etc.
